    Different Types of Fortune Telling

Psychic fortune telling is the art of using sacred or everyday objects to learn things about yourself and the future. A fortune teller has the ability to read seemingly random patterns, which can appear in whatever method he or she chooses to use, such as a crystal ball or palms. The best fortune tellers online and offline might be able to foresee future events, but they are not always able to provide you with reasoning into the causes behind those events.

Here are four of the most common methods of fortune telling.

    Scrying

Perhaps the most commonly seen method in TV and cinema is scrying, or crystal ball reading. Crystal balls come in various sizes and can be made from crystals or glass. This is a challenging method of fortune telling, where you must enter a clear-minded, trance-like state and open up your mind to the gift of psychic influences. Perhaps you will see shapes within the crystal, or ideas may form within your third eye. People find scrying difficult, as the only way to learn is to practice on subjects, but of course your first attempt will not be totally successful. This style of reading will take some time to get used to, and mastering it requires a very particular psychic skill set and dedication, but is highly rewarding.

    Geomancy

Geomancy is a very old style of fortune telling that involves interpreting markings on the ground. A Geomancer can translate marks made by animals, or lines which have randomly been drawn by themselves or their subject. In order to correctly be able to make sense of these markings, you should close your eyes and randomly make eight sets of lines with dashes. This is a more simple method of reading, but for deeper fortune telling there are a variety of ways to generate the figures. Once generated, the markings are analyzed with astrological interpretations.

    I Ching

The I Ching is an ancient and complex Chinese form of free fortune telling, which dates back 5000 years. Some readers spend their entire lives committed to learning the secrets of I Ching. Methods involve throwing coins or yarrow stalks multiple times, taking notes on how they land, and translating the pattern created based on the Book of Changes, an ancient Chinese interpretation manual. The I Ching is easy to practice and can be used to answer the majority of life’s questions. However, there is a lot of learning involved, as there are many ways the objects can fall.

    Palmistry

Palmistry is a form of fortune telling done by reading someone’s dominant hand. Palmistry can be split into two distinct branches; Chiromancy and Chirognomy. Chiromancy is the form of reading whereby you examine the lines in the palm to divine the future. Chirognomy is the practice of reading someone’s personality based on their hand shape, fingers, etc. A reader can draw information about the subject by combining this knowledge and an examination into how the planets correspond to different parts of the hand.
